Greenwood, Robert (b. 1721, d. 1819)

Note: LUPTON township has the hamlets of Cow-Brow, Lupton-Row, and Lupton-Smithy, with several straggling dwellings, from 2 ˝ to 4 miles WNW. of Kirkby-Lonsdale. The manor was anciently called Lupetun, and is now held of the Earl of Lonsdale.

In a Westmoreland cemetery - 'Beneathd of Paddington, London, visiting this grave in September 1855 caused this stone to be erected to their memory.'
